# Use Angular Material with a User-Selectable Theme
**Status**: accepted
The Angular frontend will use Angular Material as its application-wide component foundation, customised with the LMNP Organizer visual system rather than stock styling. The interface will provide Light, Dark, and System theme preferences, stored locally in the browser; this balances a cohesive, accessible component base and dependable theme primitives against the cost of introducing a UI dependency, while avoiding a backend preference feature before one is needed.
