CI/CD Pipeline Scope and Deployment Boundary
Status: accepted
The GitLab CI/CD pipeline will be scoped to automate tests, backend/frontend compilation, Docker image builds, and publishing to the GitLab Container Registry. Automated CD (Continuous Deployment) to a target server is excluded from the initial scope to keep deployment credentials out of the CI environment for now. Deployment will be done manually by pulling the published images from the registry onto the host server.
